The Future in Bubbles 2. The Exhibition of Comics Inspired by Stanisław Lem´s Work

To commemorate the last-year 100th birth anniversary of renowned Polish writer and futurologist Stanisław Lem the Polish Institute in Prague announced an open comics competition for Czech artists, inspired by Lem´s famous stories and novels. The display presents the best works as well as the the life and work of S. Lem and film adaptations of his works.

The exhibition features book dedications, thanks to which we can trace who to whom dedicated the book, mostly even when and where, sometimes even why. Displayed are handwritten dedications by Tadeáš Hájek z Hájku, Mark Twain or Edward Munch; we discover books donated by the inventor of Diesel motor or scientist Joachim Barrande. Authors and adresses of donations are registered in Provenio Database.
