On April 17, 2023, Adolf Knoll, Deputy Director for Science, Research and International Relations of the National Library of the CR, received the special Magnesia Award for the Contribution to Book Culture. The Magnesia Litera award ceremony took place at the New Stage of the National Theatre, Prague.

Adolf Knoll was awarded the prize for the development of digitization of manuscripts, early printed books and newspapers, and their wide accessibility to both specialists and the public.

He is a member of the Manuscriptorium Digital Library development team.

Thanks to him the National Library of the CR has been involved since 2011 in the Google project of digitization of early printed books.
